Well my initial thought was to do a forum topic search, and the results were less than stellar. Tittle change to make my request for help clearer If not then can some direct me has to what setting I should now be using in the new tool? So in short is there any way to use the older legacy Nvidia tools or has someone got copies that work with the CC PS So a pushed on regardless only to discover that the DTX5 settings from the old plug-in do not appear in this new tools GUI. So after a wasted morning I decided to install the Nvidia Texture Tools Photoshop (NVIDIA_Texture_Tools_for_Adobe_Photoshop_2021.2.0), even though I was aware that there is an issue that only using "Save as a Copy" will allow you to select a DDS format. I had until back in August last year been using a legacy Nvidia plug-ins on my work PC which I think had CC 2020 installed, sadly I have since left that job and have no way to check what files were installed in the Plug-ins folders, otherwise I would have just copied them over. I tried to install the legacy 64bit version with the same result. I tried to install the Nvidia DDS tools that I had been using on my CS6 copy and this only lead to PS crash when I tried to open a DDS formatted file. Just built my new system, as part of this new build I have installed Photoshop CC (23.1.1~2022). Note: Please jump to my later postings as much of what I wrote here initially has been through much trial and error nutted out!
