![]() ![]() ![]() Apple released its Translate app last year for the iPhone. Moreover, you can now use Google Translate within Chrome on your iOS device to translate specific parts of a webpage. Google Translate is in its 15th year and available on the web, as a Chrome browser extension and as an Android and an iOS app. If you come across a website in a foreign language, Chrome will offer to translate it into your chosen language. Google has improved Chrome’s ability to detect languages, making web page translations more convenient. Press and hold a detected address to view it on a mini Google Maps within Chrome, eliminating the need to switch to a separate maps app. Chrome has integrated AI technology that can identify addresses on web pages. Instead of having to use a separate Google app, you can use the Lens icon in the Chrome address bar on iOS devices to access existing or new photos for search purposes. The support for Google Lens within Chrome on iOS will make searching for objects such as plants and clothing much easier, perform real-time translations, and more. What’s more exciting is that, previously you could only translate between English and other languages, but now you can translate into any of the 100+ languages supported on. ![]() Here’s a full list of all 88 supported languages. The new features include the option to use Lens without leaving the browser, view Maps addresses, translate text, and create Calendar events. The instant camera translation adds support for 60 more languages, such as Arabic, Hindi, Malay, Thai and Vietnamese. Google has announced new features coming to Chrome on iOS, which should help users to do more things without leaving the browser. ![]()
